Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands depends on contributions from the community and generous people like you, to provide after school activities and facilities for thousands of young people in the Omaha metro area.
Please take a few moments to review how you can help now or with a planned gift in the future.
For those of you who are interested in giving in other ways, we offer many creative philanthropic solutions to meet your needs. Give us a call at 402-342-1600 to discuss them in greater detail.
Gifts of Cash
Giving a gift can be as simple as writing a check or donating on our secure webpage. These types of gifts provide an immediate impact for the Boys & Girls Clubs, while generating a charitable income tax deduction for you.
Gifts by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Similar to Bill Pay, offered through many financial institutions, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands allows you to set up a monthly, quarterly, bi-annual or annual gift schedule through our EFT option. You select the amount you wish to give and then determine the giving schedule that works best for you. We will take care of the details of processing credit cards and/or withdrawing from bank accounts automatically, allowing you to budget and plan giving on your terms. Matching Gifts
Encouraging your employer to match your charitable gift to the Boys & Girls Clubs is a great way to involve them in the communities they serve. Some employers currently have gift matching programs. When planning your next gift to the Club, check with your company’s Human Resources department to see whether or not a matching gift program is in place. If there is, please obtain a form from your organization to complete and send to Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands for verification of your donation.
Upon completion of the matching gift form, please return via email, fax or USPS to Development Assistant, Susan Hager.

Gifts of Securities
Giving gifts in the form of stocks or bonds or mutual fund shares may provide you with a tax benefit. For those securities that you have owned for more than one year and whose market value has increased since your time of purchase, capital gains tax can be avoided and a charitable income tax deduction can be realized equal to the security’s fair market value.
If you would like to discuss the various tax benefits you may receive from gifts of securities, contact Chief Development Officer, Laura Schabloske.

Gifts of Retirement Plan Assets
If you’re like others, your financial future will likely revolve around your retirement plan assets. To maximize the value of a retirement account or accounts, you may wish to consider making a lifetime gift of the after-tax values to a tax-exempt deferred giving plan. Working with your tax advisor and our development team you may be able to remove some of your tax burden from these assets while making a contribution to the Boys & Girls Clubs.
To discuss your options or to have your questions answered, please contact Laura Schabloske, Chief Development Officer.

Gifts of Life Insurance
Donating life insurance can be a good way to achieve your desire to support the children and teens that the Boys & Girls Clubs serve. By designating the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands as the beneficiary of an existing policy, you make good use of your resources and increase your ability to make a significant gift to the Clubs.

Gifts of Real Estate
A gift of real estate such as your home, commercial property or your farm is a very generous way to support the Clubs. You can deduct the fair market value of your gift, avoid all capital gains taxes and remove that asset from your taxable estate with this type of gift.

Making a Gift through a Bequest
The charitable bequest provides a vehicle for virtually anyone to express their charitable wishes. In fact, the bequest is the most frequently utilized vehicle in gifting to a charity in the United States. A bequest can take on a variety of forms including but not limited to: a cash gift, a gift that equates to a percentage of your estate value or even through the gift of a specific asset.
Your philanthropic goals are expressed when you put your wishes in your will. If you need a place to start, begin by completing our estate planning questionnaire. It is a way to assist you in organizing your thoughts. (link to estate planning form here)
