South
The South Omaha Unit has over 1,000 youth (ages 6-18) enrolled as members. It is located in the heart of South Omaha, just one block from the business corridor.
Built in 1966, the South Unit was originally known as the Gene Eppley Boys Club, but was recently renamed the Carl & Joyce Mammel Unit. The South Unit is the only Club within Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands (BGCM) that has a swimming pool, and regularly hosts Club members from other BGCM units.
With its large fenced-in recreation area and sports fields, the South Unit is also a staple for BGCM and community-based events.
