Morton Magnet, a district wide magnet center serves over 700 students in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8. In addition to a staff commitment to assisting every child to succedd and excel in a caring and committed environment, Morton offers a unique decision making sciences program. This program, modeled after the Stanford Univeristy Decision Science program, encourages students to act and think strategically in the decisions they make daily.

Morton Magnet MSLC provides tutoring from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m., montly field trips, weekly movies as well as a hot snack. After school programming is on every school day from 2:45 p.m. until 6 p.m. The partnering organization for the Morton Magnet after school program is Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands.
