The National Youth of the Year Program is designed to promote and recognize service to Club and community, academic performance and contributions to family and spiritual life. On Saturday, January 28th, 2011, at 8:00 am, six youth representing the six Boys & Girls Clubs across the Metro area will compete in the organizational Youth of the Year competition – with the winner receiving scholarship money and the opportunity to advance to the state-level competition.
This year’s competitors are:
- North Omaha’s Darain Henry
- South Omaha’s Jennifer Jimenez
- Westside’s Devin Rollins
- Mount View’s Allysia Holm
- Carter Lake’s Devin Young
- Council Bluffs’s Kristen Hemmingsen
This event is free and open to the public.
