Summer Day Camp is sponsored by Boys & Girls Clubs of
the Midlands, Inc. who has run a camp at the Iowa West Ranch
located at the Carter Lake Boys & Girls Club since 1971,
serving thousands of children.
Campers who attend will participate in a variety of diverse
activities. The camp property itself encompasses over 35 acres
of wooded area along with lakefront access. On Carter Lake
itself, campers will participate in canoeing, paddleboating
and fishing. On the campground (further inland) campers will
participate in arts & crafts, archery, team sports, group
projects, fine arts (theater) and team building.
